The guy was a totally coke head. Incoherent most of the time and rambling about aliens and the CIA. Total tinfoil hat type. Thin with long red hair and pale skin, but he had the best coke in town! He's either long dead or brilliant scientist somewhere.

Ellua, I've always been a groomer. Though, I must admit I feel pressure to keep up with it on a more frequent basis.. Since we are of the same age, are you suggesting that only the younger crowd keep up on personal grooming? Are you not an enthusiasts of shaving your lady bits? :o

You guys crack me up!

I think it was more along the line of thought that we're more inclined to keep up with it when a relationship is newer is all. I'm 9 years and 2 kids in and do what i can.

Grant is probably so frustrated, must we completely derail all of his threads lately?

1 month
-Oxy in 08, Subs 09-14
-spent 3 months tapering and forming better habits
-jumped from .05 mg on 10/13 and felt no difference between the last few weeks of the taper and cutting completely. little to no withdrawal.

I guess I'll update just for all those anonymous subbers who come on here to read about how to get off....

so, 37 days today. flew by. if i remember correctly there was some "pink cloud" the first 10 days.... followed by a brief let down.... lacked some mid-day energy, only slightly, in the middle. and had some isolated days of anxiety. particularly in the middle.... around day 20-25.... i had a bad 3 or 4 days. well not bad.... i was still hanging out with friends, doing job interviews.... working out.... nothing that hindered my activity.

anyway, stopping at around .05 has been no different then lowering doses during the taper.... and to be frank, that was worse a lot of the time.

so the update is: im fine. things are great. i wont say its like the 6 year nightmare never happened.... but im living life. i really dont care about whether or not "my endorphins will start working" better or not. as far as im concerned, im totally normal right now. not sure i really believe the endorphin thing. i think that if you jump from 8 mg, 2 mg, 1 mg, or maybe even .5 milligrams..... then its prolly true. i think when you talk about "2-3 months" to get your brain, and endorphins back to functioning nearly fully 80 percent or so...... that only applies to those on heavy doses. if you have spent a few months on low doses, got disciplined with sleep, diet, exercise, work stuff etc....I believe you can cut that time in half.... and maybe even better.

anxiety seems to be pretty much totally gone. only lingering affect is that every morning at 730, stomach cramps wake me up and i pretty much still always have mild diarrhea. once in the morning and once at night....

i go to bed at 12 or 1230 and always wake up to 730. if i lay in bed, i cant go back to sleep past 730. remember when u could snort some sub before bed and sleep till 3 pm? .... yep, not anymore. i used to never wake up to my alarm. caused me problems. now i dont even use an alarm. i wake up twice to pee usually... which is pretty normal stuff for me. i pee a lot. but can fall back asleep. i have vivid rem dreams.... so i know im really sleepin,.

i take 1-2 lope a day as needed for stomach issues.

I'm planning on jumping in a few days (including one or two skip days). I been on a short taper...from about 3.6mg/day down to .25mg or so within one week and I'm not doing too bad at all thank God.

Is this good and what should I expect when I jump from .25mg down to .2mg and down to .1mg and jump?

This is my first time ever trying subs to ease off oxy. I was eating anywhere from 240mg-320mg oxy in one shot per day and amazingly started to feel much better after only 2mg subs my first day but took a little more just to be good. Within 2hrs I went from crapty, nasty wd and weakness to laughing and baking a cake with my wife lol!

But I'm wondering if I will have my cake and eat it too after jumping and then being like wtf was that even for haha!

Thanks and peace.

yeah bro. good for you. 3.6 down to that is a huge jump.

consider yourself lucky. once you start having anxiety issues , you get anxiety about the anxiety and it becomes a viscous cycle. so besides those mental issues..... physical isnt all that bad..... takes about 10 days to get used to, after a large jump....

go as fast as you can..... but try to get your life together and get a routine, if you havent already.... while on these low doses.....

its a long race. its been 47 days for me.... and every day is work. i dont feel bad..... but i also dont feel "high" like i did before....so u gotta get used to dealing with things.

definitely worth it though brotha.

Hey Numb...start a detox tread if you like. I'm jumping dec 8th and we will be close to each other. I'm at a credibly small mount. If you can, try to get below .25mg. You've done a great job so far!!

Hi ya Grant! Hope your still doing well. Did you start your new job?

Hey Numb, if you've just been on sub for a week for a fast taper from oxy you should be pretty good doing that fast taper. That's the way to do it! You're smart not to have gotten stuck on subs for years like a lot of us. Make sure you've cut off sources for oxy and trash the remaining sub and all that good stuff. I wish you an easy jump and lots of success in your recovery. I wish I did what you did 7 years ago!

66 days. I worked 6 days 50 plus hours last week. No symptoms. No paws. Completely back to normal. Feels like I never was on opiates. I think some ppl just never have made it through the initial stages of withdrawal. They are dying for a chance to live sober for the first time in many years. And they prove it by how they prepare before they jump.

Grant... I'm completely blown away. I basically had zero withdrawal also. A little sleep disturbances and hot and cold temperature issues, but that's it. No depression and no anxiety that usually kills me in withdrawal. I'm not even counting days or thinking about using... It's very odd and unusual for me.
Slow low dose taper is really the way to go. I'm afraid it won't work for a lot of people... But after you've tried it the other way five or six times, you'll try anything, and this worked!
I'm still kind a lazy and unmotivated... But I don't feel like I'm in withdrawal. I'm just lazy and unmotivated naturally..lol
