You are never going to feel great again

"Staying Clean" a place to share how you stay clean or got clean

You are never going to feel great again

Postby ratch » Tue May 22, 2012 7:39 pm

I just answered a post and it dawned on me:
You are never going to feel great again....now let me clarify.

Life has its ups and downs as we all know. No matter what, you are never going to feel great all the time.. thats what drugs did to us. Numbed us to our surroundings and gave us a constant "lift"

Life is meant to feel good and rewarding when we are supposed to feel that way, not all the time. Establishing a "New Normal" accepting it, and cherishing the things, people, places, and experiences that make us feel good and seeking them out is what life is about.

Feeling OK, accepting it as normal, and seeking out natural (non drug) ways to feel better is key for me to stay clean.

I was never able to appreciate a sunset unless I was clean

The "OPs" name is Ratch. He owns this place. Get a clue and READ before making more of a ass out of yourself. Your really showing how shallow and phoney you are by calling Ratch "OP". Stop polishing everyone's knobs and shut up and read...

Oh god, when I read the title I was worried that it had something to do with PAWS... Thank god.

I can totally relate, although I would ad vodka to the list (if on vacation I'm saying, I hope I'll still be able to have the occasional drink now that they will become appetizing again and not slip down another damn slope.

Thx for the site man, it's helped me tons.
Because easy has no meaning.
