We finally got some Canadian air to blow down this way. Last night my curtains were flapping and a cool breeze flowing over my bed. It went down into the upper 50's or so and I actually had to cover myself with a sheet...aahhhh  A day or two from now, we'll be back into the hot, sticky weather.

IDK, but didn't we all decide that, if you have to endure the WD's, the best time of year to do it is when it is sunny and warm? I quit in the Fall/Winter, and the short, dark dreary days made the whole thing even more depressing.

I agree wholeheartedly but hot days without humidity ARE Fucking precious down here and I have ten plants that are screaming for new pots. :gaah:

You could always move somewhere with a less oppressive climate :smart:

And that would be?

I'm stuck here pretty much but have often thought of moving to upper Pennsylvania in the mountains. I like the mountain here too but I visited Wilkes barre once and loved it West of there.

Well, in August it tends to be hot just about everywhere in the lower 48...but yeah, you've got the right idea about mountains. Higher altitude = cooler and drier in Summer. I remember going to Clingman's Dome when I was a kid. I think it was in August and I remember getting goosebumps from the chill in the air. NC has some mountains in the West...and I'll bet it's a little more comfy there in Summer, as opposed to where you are right now. As for me, I'm just built for the cold. Once it gets above 80, I'm miserable. For me, T-shirt weather is anything between 45-65 degrees...I could definitely live somewhere like the UK where it never gets super hot nor super cold.
